hey everyone!

SUPER busy past few days. the cover artwork for AIR-002 has been finalized and will be on its way to get printed some time this week. Jody Casden was the brains behind that operation, and we all think she absolutely killed it. i've posted a .gif below so you can see the two sides.

below that, i've posted some short videos for you guys to get a sneak peak at what AIR-002 is going to sound like. what you see is one of the test pressings spinning on my turntable. just the first 45 seconds or so of the first song on each side, but you get the idea. the tests were approved this past week, and the full pressing should be under way very shortly. the release date is officially June 6 now, so mark your calendars!

hey everyone!

as a lot of you know, Devon Kay & The Solutions opened for Bomb The Music Industry! at Beat Kitchen last weekend. it was a sold out show, and it was awesome. Hannah Welever was cool enough to take some video that night and edit it for the guys. check it out by CLICKING HERE!

also, if you're in chicago, An Aesthetic Anaesthetic will be playing tonight at Schubas alongside Mr. Gnome! it's going to be a great show, and will be your first opportunity to see A!A!A live after they finished recording the tracks for AIR-003. also of note, it will be the first show where they will be selling their brand new shirts. so stop on by and have a great time with us all!

hey everyone!

it's been a minute since the last update, so i figured i'd hop on and let everybody know what's going on. there's been some delays at the pressing plant the past few weeks, so the test pressings for AIR-002 haven't been sent to me yet. that should happen next week, though. when i approve them, we'll go ahead with the full pressing. however, that can take up to 35 business days so it looks like the May 5 release date is out of the question at this point. barring any more delays (and keep your fingers crossed for us on this one, because there's already been a bunch for this release! haha), we're now looking at a June 6 release date. that'll be a wednesday, for those of you scoring at home.

The Ambulance Review is going to be heading out on a 9-week (yes, nine) tour this summer that will span the entirety of the country. if you can help them find a show in your city, or hook them up with a couch/floor to crash on, we would all be eternally grateful. and you'd probably end up with a free record or two for your trouble. so please keep that in mind, and shoot an e-mail to me or to T.A.R. if you're willing and able to help out. artisticintegrityrecords@gmail.com, and theambulancereview@gmail.com are our respective addresses.

An Aesthetic Anaesthetic went into the studio for four days to record AIR-003 with Sanford Parker last weekend. i had a chance to listen to the rough mixes this past week, and let me just say, it's heavy boy. i've been watching them play these songs live for a couple months now, but A!A!A exceeded my wildest expectations for what these songs could be. the next step in that process is having the songs mastered, which should happen by the end of april. although they are normally an instrumental band, one track does include lyrics, as well as a special guest vocal appearance by Dylan from Indian, which we're all really psyched about. Sam keeps describing Dylan's vocals on the track as sounding "like a dying witch" and i can't say i disagree. it's awesome.

as if all of this hasn't been keeping me busy enough over the past few weeks, i somehow found the time to design a new logo for the label. i'm unveiling it here for the first time:

hopefully you guys like it as much as i do. if you can tell me 2 reasons why the new logo looks the way it does, i'll ship you out a free copy of the mike/dan split. send your e-mails to artisticintegrityrecords@gmail.com for that, with the subject line "new logo" to enter.

there may also be news within the next few weeks of another release slated for this summer, but i'll keep the lid tight on that one for now because nothing is set in stone yet. check back every now and again, though, and i'll be sure to update the site if/when the news becomes official.

i hope spring is off to a great start for everybody, and that you're all as excited about what's to come from Artistic Integrity Records as everybody involved in all of our current projects is. if you're celebrating a holiday this weekend, please do so safely. thanks, as always, for your continued support.

hey everyone!

this past week has been SUPER productive for Artistic Integrity Records. like, probably more productive than any week in its short little history. the reference lacquers for AIR-002 came in and were approved. here's a quick shot of it spinning on my turntable:

the songs sound amazing. i've had the digital files for a couple months now, and i've been rocking them in my car basically non-stop since then. everybody who has driven with me lately can attest to both of those claims.

the next step in the process is having test pressings made and approved. that should be done within the next couple weeks, at which point the full run of 500 records will be pressed. the center labels are a nod to a very old style record label, but with our own little spin on them to modernize them a little bit. super stoked on how those turned out, thanks to the help of Rob Nelson. the artwork looks really, really awesome, too. Jody Casden is absolutely demolishing things on that front.

i went to a few shows this past week, and seem to have the framework of 2 future releases outlined. very exciting news there. unfortunately, i can't share what they are right now, but hopefully you'll all be as pumped as i am about them.

some of you may have noticed a slight change to the layout of the website, as well. i combined the Used Store into the AIR Store page so everything is all in one spot now. i have also added a ton of new items. new t-shirts from local bands An Aesthetic Anaesthetic, Devon Kay & The Solutions, and The Love Shots, some of their previous releases, and a great album by an Indiana-based band called MacGyver vs. Matlock. feel free to add some of those items to your cart on your next order!

3.12.12

hey everyone!

a couple really awesome blogs (Dying Scene and Punks In Vegas) have somehow gotten a hold of one of the bonus tracks that is going to be included in the download code of AIR-002. i'm not sure how. they probably hacked my computer or something. anyway, they each put it up on their respective websites this morning and are streaming now. artwork for the split is almost done, and the songs are almost done being mastered for vinyl. hopefully within the next week we'll be sending the whole shebang to the pressing plant for the entire pressing.

as some of you may have noticed, we're going to be doing two different colors in addition to black vinyl now, instead of just one. hot pink vinyl will be limited to 125 copies, white vinyl will be limited to 125 copies, and black vinyl will be limited to 250 copies. if you pick up more than one copy, you'll get a small discount. cause, you know, that's how we do.

also, get stoked for the digital download code for AIR-002. there's going to be upwards of 50 songs included in it. lots of pictures. lyrics. all sorts of awesome stuff. so seriously, if you don't buy the record, you should at least buy the digital download. it's like 6 cents a song. if you don't try it out, you're bad at making good decisions.
